Pro Beam Laser Solutions products have obtained ISO 9001 international quality management system certification as
well as CE and FDA, establishing a quality assurance system for the design, production, and service
of laser equipment. Detailed standards have been established for the working environment and
working conditions during the production process, basic technical requirements, cooling
requirements, laser radiation safety, electrical safety, test methods, inspection and acceptance,
as well as packaging and transportation. The standards referenced include:
• Machinery Directive (MD) 2006/42/EC: One of the primary legislations governing essential health
and safety requirements for machinery at the EU level. It explains the basic requirements for
machinery sold in the EU and is necessary for applying the CE mark to a machine.
• EN-ISO-11553-1:2020: Safety of machinery - Laser processing machines - Part 1: laser safety
requirements. This document outlines all the requirements for building a safe laser processing
machine.
• EN-60825-1: 2014: Safety of laser products - Part 1: Equipment classification and requirements.
It discusses how to classify a laser or laser product, and when a manufacturer states a laser
classification, this is the standard that must be followed.
• EN-60825-4: 2006: Safety of laser products - Part 4:Laser guards. This document explains how to
construct a safe machine enclosure and the requirements regarding how long before the laser may
burn through the enclosure.
• EN-ISO-14119: 2013:Safety of Machinery - Interlocking devices associated with guards- principles
for design and selection. This document explains the
requirements for the physical interlocks on the machine.
• EN-I
SO-13849-1: 2015: Safety of machinery - Safety-related parts of control systems - part 1: General
principles for design. This document explains the requirements for the safety control system and
how to ensure the machine can always be operated safely.
First and foremost, exercise caution. Laser machines are a powerful tool, and the proper
precautions should be taken, akin to working with any other high-powered tool or machinery. These
machines are designed to process materials with highly focused heat energy and can be hazardous. It
is imperative never to leave the machine unattended while it is in operation, and to refrain from
allowing an inexperienced or unfamiliar person to operate the machine at any time.
Avoid direct exposure and refrain from staring at the laser beam while the machine is in operation.
Take note of, and comprehend, all warning labels located on your machine.
Strictly enforce the following safety measures to ensure the safety of the machine and the
individual operating it. Pro Beam Laser Solutions shall not be held responsible for any damages or
injuries resulting from improper use or dismantling of the laser machine.
• NEVER operate laser machinery unless you have received proper training.
• ALWAYS wear industry-approved protective eyewear (preferably wraparound goggles) when operating
the laser. Your laser comes with one pair of laser safety goggles. It is recommended that operators
have a spare set and at least one set of goggles for each operator using the equipment.
• ALWAYS connect the product to the ground via the PE wire in the power cord, ensuring a secure and
reliable ground connection. Disconnection of the ground may result in the product's casing becoming
live, potentially causing personal injury to operators.
• ALWAYS ensure stable AC power supply with right frequency and voltage, as incorrect wiring or
voltage supply may cause irreversible damage to the equipment.
• NEVER place anything on top of the laser and/or on the worktable when not in use.
• NEVER leave the laser unattended while it is running. This will ensure that you are able to
observe or hear any abnormalities/potential hazards.
• ALWAYS maintain the machine's environment free of heavy pollution, such as strong magnetic
electrical interference.
• NEVER use unapproved or unsafe materials, such as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or any materials that
emit noxious gases. These gases can cause harm to your central nervous system.
• NEVER operate the laser near flammable or explosive substances.
• NEVER dismantle the laser machine unless instructed by a LASERCHINA Technician, as this can
disrupt the laser and its high voltage/pressure parts, leading to harm or injury.
In Case of a Fire:
• Press the EMERGENCY STOP button located on the panel with the power switch.
• Quickly extinguish the flame(s), using a CO2 fire extinguisher for serious flames.
Halon can also be used on the laser systems.
